Sad occasion prompted decant of this bottle, the destruction of Behrens mail winery structure by the Glass Fire. Still vibrant, accompanied Tuscan roast pork very well. A toast raised to Les and company.

A bit on the spicey hot side, so the label fits. Still young, will be interesting to follow evolution. My experience with the ancestral Behrens and Hitchcock wines has been very inconsistent, so I was relieved at the quality here.

Unfortunately this wine was corked. Hey it happens, I didn't get the typical musty basement or wet concrete nose typical of TCA but the wine was definitely off. I have about 12 more bottles in the cellar so will be trying another one this weekend and report back.

(ERNA SCHEIN JERSEY BOY) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-solid dark; NOSE-smells exactly like cherry/strawberry Crystal Light; the fruit smells authentic, but extremely artificial sugar component; TASTE-Mmmm, definitely fruity, a fruit bomb that's thin & light (quite weird), blend of 5 different grapes and I'm not sure any are that great; I'm disappointed and underwhelmed, a little thin for me, it's very fake, it's just OK; RP-90/92; GV-87

These Erna's were built to last! Delicious, smooth as velvet, short decant fine. Has more years ahead.

This wine is concentrated and full of rich, chewy black fruit.
