45mm aglomerated enclosure. Yellow gold. Med intensity nose yielding notes of orange, citrus, spple, honey, apricot and floral notes. The body is medium, acidity is medium (unusual for a riesling) but pronounced intensity on the palate. Good balance too. The finish is decent but the fruit is carried by the acidity. When all said and done, a very enjoyable bottle and probably (it was a gift) punching above it’s price point for complexity.

Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. A Christmas evening featuring wines in the style drunk by Charles Dickens in the 19th century. Presented by Chris White of Ellis, from whom Charles Dickens purchased his wines.
Light gold. The nose shows only a little petrol which means I like it all the more. Light palate, delicate, fresh, honey. Needs food. Should keep 5-7 years.

In het glas abrikoos, grapefruit, lichte petrol. In de mond veel alcohol, limoen. Best aangenaam.
