  • Originally tasted in 2020 and was not a fan. Tannins were too strong thus overwhelming any fruit. Decided to wait.
2024 and the wine is beautiful now. Fruit and tannins nicely integrated and WELL worth the wait.

  • Medium to light body wine. Earthy and bright fruit flavors with a long finish.

  • Underwhelming experience. Upon opening not a whole lot to offer, although it was at cellar temp (54F). Had a metallic aspect to it, kind of odd. About an hour in dried cherry notes started to show, leather, but all subdued without a lot of fruit. This was the highlight. Day two no worse but no tangible improvement, a bit of fig. This came across as a wine that was on the downward slide and whatever it may have been has come and gone. Unfortunately I still have 3 bottles left and this is barely making the daily drinker mark. The kind of wine you would take to Golden Corral to wash down the imitation roast beef and chocolate fountain. It's certainly quaffable but there is not a whole lot to grab onto. As a shiner I expected more but I guess the producers recognized this as reaching end of life and unloaded remaining stock to CHWines.

  • Took a long time to open - and was a bit middling on taste even then. Mostly blueberry sorbet that finished a bit bitter, I didn’t get much else.

  • This is my second time trying this wine. I have to say this has to be one of my favorite wines so far. I decanted for 30mins this time but not sure it needs much decanting. Very fruit forward, soft tannins. It’s medium body and wouldn’t consider it a serious wine. But it’s easy sipping all day and goes with most food.9/10
