Day 1 on open nose took an hour to come out of its shell. Flavors were quite intense — a bit like a mevushal kosher wine you find in the states. Not that enjoyable in my view but the depth and different notes might be really appealing to a wine geek.
Day 2 the nose further evolved and showed really beautifully. Flavors also mellowed out a bit and showed very interesting tertiary flavors. Tobacco, manure?,…
Interesting experience. I think I might prefer my barolos a bit younger.
