Slight transition to orangery red on rim, doesn't give much away on nose, hints of slices of cold beef. On tasting, tannic but not troublesome, more wood, but with bite from the acidity. Not v fruity but bit of cherry. Vaguely spicy, but subtle, maybe clove. Went v well with mushroom/spinach/ricotta cannelloni. Gd value if kept a few years.

Popped and poured. Bright, slightly translucent ruby. Nose is dead, gives nothing away. The palate has red cherry and redcurrant fruit with a pronounced oak spice and pepperiness. Soft tannins makes this easy to drink and approachable. Far from complex but serviceable.
