  Brooding, with notes of black raspberry, black currant, and tar commingling throughout. Hints of black licorice weave in too. Good structure here, should keep going for a while.

  What I don't like about this wine? 15%ABV is too visual. What else? It has great flavors I can't describe! Mostly in herbs and spices territory.
  No good, I mean it's no good about me. 🙄
  
  What I like? Everything else. Nice, typical, classical, whatever you name it, smell. Red cherry, minerals, earth herbs, dust.
  Taste - very juicy with red cherry, plum, black cherry and those H + S with no name. Great balance between all flavors I mentioned. Something like bitter - sweet
  Nice, vivid acidity and tannins
  Long finish!
  The longer I drink this wine the sweeter it is ( in positive meaning).
  
  2018 got 92 points according to the WA Vintage Guide.Outstanding. Early maturing and accessible.

  Intense and flavorful with dark cherry, leather, meat and spice. Medium bodied, medium acidity and well integrated tannins. Finish is tremendously long and tasty. Made in a new world style. NI:3, FI:22, FC:8, B:4, L:5

  Has improved from a first bottle consumed a good while ago. I still have no answer as to why I am having a better experience with this wine than is the case with others. It is a classic Gigondas.

  Wow much tannin in first mouth! Too much for many likings. Improves so much in glass and shows the great character of a Gigondas. Need more years in cellar.
