  • Lovely mix of red and black fruits on the nose with blackberry, raspberry, pepper, spice. 16% Alcohol immediately apparent on the nose with slight stinging sensation. On the palate, lovely mouthfeel. Medium tannin. Medium acid. Flavours of garrigue, and raspberry. Medium + finish. The heat is certainly there from the alcohol but I actually made my way through the whole bottle over the course of an evening (albeit having a headache the next morning). There's drinkability despite the weight.

  • There we are

Had this wine so many times and could not get a good idea of it ever... finally it has come

Nose of med+ intensity, with thyme, black olives, tapenade, smoked meat, blackberry, very complex and southernly

Palate is balanced with great acidity combined with a fat feel, great tension and juiciness, Can be outstanding easily ! Great Wine

  • A really good C9dP with 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah and already very drinkable. After 2 hours in a decanter the C. du Papet is showing it is in almost perfect harmony and balance. It is powerful but elegant too with rasberry, garrigue, some flowers and aromas of pepper and other spices. The wine also developed very good over 2 days and i think it will be better in a few years.

  • I must say, I really do not like the propensity of the mid to latter part of the last decade for alcoholic wines. This wine is all fruit and pepper right now, but the finish is downright hot, taking away from a good deal of the pleasure that I think this wine can provide when it matures a bit. I was disappointed in this bottle today, although it might be my fault for opening so young. Perhaps some secondary and tertiary flavors will tamp down the alcohol in time. I'll keep my other bottles for a later day and see if this comes around.

  • Deep garnet with a magenta edge. Nose of raspberry compote, blackberries, garrigue and baking spices. Tangy dark fruit on the plush, full palate which leads into tertiary notes of green olive brine and spice. Tannins are already silky smooth and the fruit carries the 15.5% alcohol surprisingly well (you _almost_ wouldn't notice it). This wine definitely has years ahead of it, but not clear if it will fall out of balance as the fruit fades and tertiary flavors come to the fore. Really excited to try this 5 and 10 years down the road.
