Fantastic wine. Excellent texture, soft with good acid drive. Doesn't seem sweet. If it is then its not noticeable. Gorgeous creme brulee and sour fruits lead into an explosion of exotic spices with a balance to die for.
The Magical 2005 Vintage at Domaine Zind Humbrecht (Turckheim, Alsace, France): Maybe it's just that it followed the incredible Clos Windsbuhl VT Pinot Gris, but I found this wine much less convincing than the other VTs. Don't get me wrong, this is a very good to excellent wine but the other VTs were off the charts. Nice floral aromatics, but the wine seems somewhat closed right now in contrast to the other VTs. 50+12+12+8+8=90
