Everytime I try Priorat wines, it's always interesting. I'm not always impressed but the winemaking and the weather over there really make fascinating wines. With the Gratallops, i'm not disappointed. Beautiful fruit with depth and richness. See through ruby color. Nose of cherry and strawberry. Palate has crushed stone and earthiness adding some intrigue along with kirsch strawberries, red cherries and some spice. Velvety tannins and a decently long finish. It doesn't taste too young but I'm sure some age wouldn't hurt it either. Cool stuff!

Spicy nose and full fruit mouthful, already integrated tannins and spot on acidity, good length and satisfying, had a good decant which brought out the quality within, very enjoyable and pricewise not to high considering the quality.

Just so right, even at this young age. Earthy with some gritty but thoroughly integrated tannins; thirst-quenching balance of acidity and fruit that reminds me of the best from southern rhone…maybe a drawback to some looking for outsized expression of llicorella (it’s not in your face here), but to me just right. Palacios is the rare producer from Priorat who I feel I could buy sight unseen/untasted every year.

Decanted for 2 hrs. Way too young. Reminds me of a barrelblend ready to bottle. Potential but no score for now.
