  • Much lighter than 2017 and most Priorat I had. Mostly red fruits, cranberry, boysenberry and red cherry. Some floral notes. Delicious but for the price and appellation, I expect more. Wait a few years, the acidity should mellow.

  • appearance is ruby red, clear, lighter in body. nose is tart, herbal, slightly peppery. with air, it puts on volume, some floral quality. palate reveals good acidity and herbal character. there's a slight tartness but it's surprisingly sweeter and texturally smoother and silkier than expected. very nice weight and good balance. recommended!

  • Certainly well-made, but in my opinion not the most typical Priorat wine. A wine that is going for elegance and approachability rather than sheer power and depth. This ‘Vi de Vila’-wine is a blend of 74 percent Garnatxa Negra, 25 percent Samsó (Carinyena) and a dash of white varieties, sourced from nine small vineyards plots around the village of Gratallops (located about forty kilometers west of the city of Tarragona, Catalunya); it was fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for fifteen months in oak barrels of different sizes. Color: medium-intense ruby-red with some violet reflections. Bouquet: aromatic nose revealing scents of sour cherry, strawberry, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of cedar wood and graphite. On the palate: a very supple medium-bodied wine with juicy plum and red forest fruit, a smooth texture, well-rounded tannins and a refreshing acid structure. A bit more density and concentration wouldn’t hurt. Finish: harmonious aftertaste. Drinking window: now–2027. Not bad at all, but the price-quality ratio is a bit out of balance.

  • A pretty, delicious drinkable Priorat from the best producer, things have changed to the better, cranberries on the nose and palate get a dry start but fruity finish, still young , but approachable.
