Tasted blind. Deep ruby with a purple hue. Could be a blend. Clean, ripe red fruit, black fruit, herbs and licorice. No new oak apparent, no pyrazines, pepper or VA. Dry, but fruit forward, with med (+) acidity, med (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.9%). Full, bodied, juicy, med (+) intensity and length, it is just now opening its drinking window.
By process of elimination, it could be a Grenache or a Southern Rhone blend. Too clean to be Old World. 50% Grenache, 40% Carignan, and 10% Mourvedre.
