Partially clear dark red color. Medium body. Medium acidity. Soft tanines. Mildly aromatic - black fruits, plum, blackberries, oak, tobacco, anise, pepper. Nice Ripasso.

Really nice ripasso with exuberant red fruits combined with dried ones and spicy herbal notes. The obvious sweetness is somehow not sugary, so agreeable, and is excellently balanced by intense fruity acidity. The herbal, spicy flavours make this so very italian to me. The finish gives nicely integrated tannins that even do succeed in leaving a dry mouthfeel. Even if the first couple of glasses give an urge for a next one, it does give a saturated feeling quite quickly. Or was that the hamburger I had for dinner?

Surprisingly good. Dried raisins, dark cherries, and best of all very smooth tannins. I thought it would need time to cellar with all the oak, but it is really drinkable now. Delicious.

Good Ripasso - a pleasure, however could be a bit more dry.
