St.Emilion Grand Cru Classée values tasting: Lots of dark fruit and oak, extracted, freshness is there but the tannins a touch drying. I think Faugeres still needs to dial down from the Parker years.

Opaque purple color. Sweet cherry, menthol and alcohol on the nose. Medium body with silky tannins, flavors of dark fruit and charcoal. Finish is long and tasty, but this wine has a long way to go before showing it's best.

Loosing my trust in professional reviews about Bordeaux a bit. No finesse, way too high acid, I drank the 2009 years ago at the same age and it was wonderful. What happens to good Bordeaux wines in the 30-40 € region. This now is my third bottle I am deeply disappointed. I am not sseing any potential here that this wine will be a please in whatever amount of time.

St. Emilion Grand Cru Classés Walkaround tasting, so just short notes (Amsterdam): 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Smoky bouquet with red berries and herbs and spices. On the palate juicy acidity, a slight touch of sweetness and sticky tannin. 92+
