Union Des Grands Crus Bordeaux (New York City, NY, USA): Botrytis up front with honey, some sweet spice, apricot but also ripe pear and bruised apple. Dense, bordering on cloyingly sweet. Needs a touch more acid for me.

77% Sem, 23% SB.
V good ripe fruit but quite hot on the palate.

A nuttier Sauternes with greater lemon acidity versus others on show. Less depth and slight bitterness on finish.
Too young to score but anticipated range 88-91.
