Fruity as a young syrah should be. Pepperiness uncommon for a syrah. Would not guess syrah in a blind tasting. More acid than tannins, some herbal notes. Still chuckle at the name as the Birch must indeed be a Lone one as there are no birches growing in WA state, save for ones planted for decorational purposes. And not even any trees remotely like it in Eastern WA state. I know, cause I lived there for a long time. A decent wine that you can't really complain much about at this low price point.

Concentrated dark purple. Full bodied, with a velvety texture. Dark fruits on the palate, primarily ripe plums. Some leathery, savory notes on the nose. Soft tannins.
