  • Quite cloudy and turbid. Brick rim.
Nose of strawberry syrup, dried cherry, dried rose petals, hard candies, dill weed, stewed plum.
Medium light bodied with very tart acid. Seems almost disjointed, or maybe even acidified.
Overall misses the mark a bit. Seems all tart with no base, and the fruit is a little on the flimsy side with a slight vegetal streak. The nose offers a little intrigue but probably not worth the price tag.

  • Nose: rustic steel, red fruits, strawberry, cherry, sweet candy, cherry tomato
Notes: quite ready to drink despite the young age. This wine is light and cloudy due to the fact that it's unfiltered. Quite a complex nose, it is light to medium bodied with a smooth and silky finish. I think the rustic steel/metal nose upon opening is a bit of a turn off thus its possible that the palate performs better than the nose, without that particular note I think the wine deserves a much higher rating. I guess this is interesting as it's not very Australian like and you can find shadows of good burgundy here.

  • Nice enough, but overrated. Cloudy, mwdium purple. Brambles, raspberry, mushroom. Very savoury palate, forest floor, excellent length, fine tannin. Good, but much better options out there.

  • PnP and served blind in a new v. Old world pinot tasting. Same bottle as Nutty08, this was uniformly not well enjoyed in the context of a lot of other world greats.

Kind of murky and light red in the glass, almost like a saignee, the nose on this fully biodynamic, unfiltered wine is redolent of rhubarb and wild strawberry. Candied red fruit on tbe palate, and a little acetate but not obtrusive. It’s got a lovely spice box note on the finish. Perhaps not worth chasing, and I would imagine subject to the risks of other “natural” pinot noirs, but on its own with a day of air in bottle, I thought it was delightful.

  • Pinot Blind: Very cloudy, with a bright red color. Nose was mostly ripe strawberry and raspberry notes. Very red fruited, a bit candied. Odd juxtaposition with rather bright acidity and short finish. Reminded me of some of the IPOB Pinots from CA that were picked too early and couldn’t fill out the mid palate.
