  • St. Emilion Grand Cru Classés Walkaround tasting, so just short notes (Amsterdam): the 2019 has 77% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. The result is a juicy and fairly complex wine which is round and slightly sticky with good acidity. A wine to watch and follow. 91+

  • Already very drinkable at only three years old, not for long term aging. Great honest expression of St. Emilion. Starts to open up really nicely after an hour in the glass, we drank half one day and the second half the next day and it was even better on day two. Not the most complexity but hits all the right notes for bordeaux, dark fruit, herbs, earth, cedar, tobacco, a hint of vanilla, oak is nicely integrated and not overwhelming. Round tannins, nice and soft on day 2. Medium finish. This is a wine made to be enjoyed fairly young, drink now to 2026ish, wouldn’t age longer.

  • Much better in bottle than in barrel, the medium-bodied, soft, open wine offers flowers, spice, thyme and cherries on the nose. Soft, fresh, polished and already good to go, with its fresh, plum, cocoa and black raspberry packed palate, you can enjoy this on release. Drink from 2022-2032.

  • 91 vvPunkte (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Alkohol. 2024-2038 vvWine.ch

  • Deep ruby red, almost opaque, with purple red brim. Nose is young, fruity, with quite pronounced oak character and notes of plums, black currants, mulberries, coffee and just a faint touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel is young, fruity, medium bodied plus, with quite pronounced oak, fine-grained tannins, nice acidity and notes of plums, black currants, mulberries and coffee.

Obviously a very young Saint-Émilion that will benefit from some time laying down to integrate the wood, but with very good potential!
