Riesling meets Chablis, but also a bit wild. Best with some air and after warming up slightly in the glass. Great food-wine. Had the 2019 this spring chez Jacques Faussat in Paris: amazing pairing with a carrot/passion fruit mousse.

Romorantin from the Loire purchased on spec based on a distant memory from when I ran my own wine business. Well remembered! Precise white stoned fruit core with mellowing field herb nuances. Minerality pronounced (steely/fresh), citrus acidity. All integrated yet tightly coiled. Some evolutionary prospects here for the mid palate. Will hold until next year. 91+

Intriguing and complex nose with wet stones, lemon zest, apricot and herbal notes. Mouth-filling, good acidity, impression of honey lozenges, honeydew and lemon. Good balance, still quite young. Great stuff.

A tad too much sweetness on the finish. 13% ABV.
