  Filtered and decanted leaving a significant amount of sediment behind and yielding a deep red liquor with a wonderful aroma of over-ripe red fruit with an underlying hint of cedar. First sips were a little flat, but, as time passed (30-40 minutes) it opened up with wonderful flavors of red fruit, verging on the plummy at first, but, morphing into a dazzling display of exploding flavor whcih covered the entire palate and left a hint of velvet in the finish. The wine remained in this wonderful state for almost an hour (at which time it was, sadly, consumed entirely).

  Nicely balanced fuit, tannins, and round finish. Hard to fault it. Went great with a steak.
