Xmas & New Year in Japan; 12/19/2022-1/6/2023 (Japan): Nose of cream, lime, papaya - a little toast. Not a huge amount on the nose. Light bodied on the palate. Good concentration of fruit into a spicy finish. Almost tastes like Nihon-shu?! on the finish. A little bitter and lacking a little acidity but very interesting. Tasted on day 2 and improved a little. Calmed down with more prominent tropical fruit flavours balancing the palate.

Not my fave Chard but I was generous with my rating as its only USD 30 and I got to experience some rather exotic notes with this white too.
Creamy but not overly oaked, with a combination of vanilla and tropical fruit notes. Short to medium finish.
Gravel and mineral notes were there but hard for me to describe on this occasion. Pairs well with Timsum, but I doubt it's a white I could sip on its own.
Grown in Catena Alta in the Highlands of Mendoza, Argentina. Amazing that its at an elevation of 1,500m!
Timsum lunch with EC and TC one afternoon.. Cheers.

Medium lemon colour. Medium nose with green apples, ripe lemon, toast, charred wood, cream and honey. Medium taste of yellow apples, pineapples, ripe lemon, toasted vanilla, cream and mango. Medium (-) long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium body. A good Argentinian Chardonnay that lacks some complexity and with less integrated oak. The 2017 was better balanced. Needed an hour to open. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

Perfect everyday chardonnay! Hint of oak, but very diskrete. Fruity and fresh - yellow Apples, nuts and honey.
