  Medium ruby. Smelled red cherry and vanilla with some earthy aromas creeping in; the taste was fruity plus some pepper spiciness. Nice balance and power with a medium dry finish, and if it's rather simple, who on earth would argue with it for $11?

  Attractive. Cleanly executed, with light red fruit forward, and notes of forest floor and citrus peel, and some mushroom. Finishes with a good acid scour.

  A food friendly Rioja - lots of red fruit, vanilla and a bit of leather. Nice energy level - can probably age a few years longer with modest improvement. QPR champion!!
