I opened this last night. It is really quite a textbook Dolcetto. Color is very strong which I would, of course expect from any Bruno Giacosa wine. Nose is lean, but shows good fruit, and even better fruit in the mouth. Aside from Chianti, this might be the best pizza wine I can think of. At $19.99 at Costco, this was a good deal. One of the better Dolcettos in recent memory. 5-12-16-9: 92/100.

Medium ruby with purple rim. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Aromas of red cherry, very juicy, raspberry, strawberry bubblegum, subtle tomato leaf and toast. It’s developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavour intensity, cherry, some herbs come through. The finish is medium as well with typical slight bitter tannins of Dolcetto. Good wine. Like the fresh and juicy cherry notes on the nose. Very appetising and a great food wine!

Mørk rubinrød. Ganske intense aromaer. Umiddelbart sukkertøy og røde bær, helst bringebær. Delikat fatlig med vanilje. Smaksbilde er ikke av det mest komplekse men vinen er slank og delikat. Først søtlig med syrefriskheten som bakteppe. Denne er også over gjennomsnittlig tørr. Skogsbær og i utgangen lakris og blyantspiss. Passe fin lengde.
