Decanted for about 1-1/2 hours. A slightly smoky funk mixes with red fruit and cinnamon aromas--nice. Good minerals and acidity accompanies the cranberry fruit. Very fresh tasting and very food friendly. Not particularly long finish. Very pleasant Bourgogne, but I'm not getting the secondary flavors that I experienced last time. It seems more watery.

Decanted for 2 hours. This is my second bottle of this Burg; the one I tried about a year ago did not impress me--no review posted. Medium color. Very bright cherry aroma with noticeable spice and animal scent. Nice acidity holds a mouthful of cherry flavor with leather, Asian spice, and cinnamon. Fairly long finish. This wine is much better than I recall from the last time. Moderate tannins and the abundant acidity suggest that it will last for another 5-10 years.

(PATRICE RION BOURGOGNE ROUGE) #1; COLOR-medium; NOSE-fruit forward; strawberry & cotton candy; TASTE-New World; oak & vanilla aspects; (Kosta Browne & Sea Smoke lovers will like this); tremendous amount of cherry; cotton candy & strawberry shortcake; very well-made & well structured; nice attack to a firm & focused mid-palate to a smooth & luxurious finish; like good $35 CA Pinot's w/ a little less oomph; not true to its' terroir, but I like it; GV-90

Surprisingly good. A little more fruit forward than I expected, but balanced well with old world flavors

Very enjoyable with food. Strawberries, cherries and some oak. Well structured with just enough acidity.

in addition to the strawberry fuir everyone is talking about, I get dill and pickle on the nose. The cotton candy is definitely there on the palate.
