Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Not so sweetly aromatic as Muller Thurgau goes, but rather complex nonetheless, with notions of green banana, green melon, rambutan, white flowers, a little airy spice, a touch of lychee, smoke and petrichor. Fresh and lively, silky texture, very mild tannin. This sees skin contact, but it is very much a white wine in my book, not amber or orange. Easy-going, fruity and floral, this is not difficult to understand. Very fresh, still taut and tense, even after the bottle has been open a few days, this note is from day 5. Joyful to drink. I guess this will be well worth following for a few years, as it seems to be quite resistant to oxidation.
