Drunk at a rare Australian wine dinner on Australia Day at Table in Hong Kong - Some say Bass Phillip resembles mature Dujac as it ages. Whilst this bottle wasn't there yet, it exhibits an air of maturity that is probably enhanced by the lack of filtering. Good acid present, it accompanied the grilled langoustine extremely well.

Nose is oxidised, but shows powerful notes of red cherry, raspberry, red grapefruit, orange peel, and seared steak. Palate balances powerful acidity with bold flavours of raspberry, red cherry, orange, and steak.
