Rich, dark fruit upfront (black cherry, blackberry and plum). Evenly integrated tannins and a velvety mouthfeel throughout. Soft spice on a medium finish (no pepper as is common with other Pinots from Sonoma). Overall an excellent wine paired with grilled lamb for Easter.

Seems like most Dehlinger single vineyard Pinots need at least 5-7 years of cellaring from vintage date before consuming. But had two of these so decided to open one based on positive CT reviews. And at only four+ years this is indeed drinking fantastic today. Opened early and tasted and determined it needed air. Two hours full decant is what it needs and it's ready. Terrific depth of flavor with subtle dark fruit notes and just a hint of sweetness. Oh so drinkable. Superbly elegant and velvety on the palate. Drinking beautifully on this day. If you have more than one, or, if you prefer more fruit, drink one today. It will definitely hold for years, but I plan on opening my last bottle soon as our preference is for more fruit.

Rich full flavored wine with ripe cherries on the palate. This well balanced wine has medium tannins and offers a long finish.
