Deep garnet in color, fast close legs, nose of plum, blackberries and lavender. Medium body. Round palate with wide, dark fruit, with a hint of molasses, giving way to smooth but pervasive tannins. Medium acidity. Long finish, continuing well after the food. Black fruit, rhubarb and a warm sandy terroir note on the palate Excellent pairing with grilled salt and pepper steak cooked over fruit wood coals, and balances very well with side dishes like sour cream potatoes salad an a kale salad with sweet vinegrette. The versatility is excellent! Will drink again soon as I believe it is at its peak. Recommend.

The medium-high intensity nose offers lush, ripe dark fruited aromas of blackberry, purple fruit, violet, and dried herbal spice with some savoury, earthy, and stony minerality notes rising out of the glass. It's medium-full bodied with juicy, well-balanced acidity and smooth, rounded, fine-grained tannins that support the ripe blackberry, black cherry, and black raspberry, smoky mineral, and wood flavours. Slightly tangy with a touch of warmth on the mid-palate, while smoky mineral, wood, black raspberry and dark berry notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Score: 88+ pts
