This 2016 Barolo was really excellent - bright cherry, orange peel, and depth of secondary flavors, too. The wine paired great with homemade lasagna, and seems to have entered its peak drinking window.

At first the bottle was muted and I thought I had just gotten unlucky opening it during a dead period.
However over a several hour decant, the wine really started to sing.
Nose really developed the rose petals and tar, with some secondary cherry notes.
The flavor really started singing after ~3 hrs in the decanter. Lots of red fruit (raspberry, cherry, annd strawberry) oak, leather, with some menthol/mint notes as well. Tannins very well integrated.
Really a lovely wine.

Really nice Barolo consumed with Tuckie Tim and Jac. The wine had nice flavor, red fruit and earthiness that were in balance. It really opened up after 60 mins bottle air. Drink or hold.

Needed 3 - 4 hours decant. This wine was very pleasant to drink, with good structure and integrated tannins, and a long finish. Very aromatic. Redfruit jam, sweet spices, cloves, and tobacco all contribute to the density on the nose.

Nice Barolo, if a bit simple. Kinda soft (for a Nebbiolo) tannin wise. Flavours show good typicity.
