  • Croatian orange wine from Istria: Malvasia Istriana. Macerated for 7 months, using natural yeasts, in 2 000 litre amphoras buried in the ground. Aged in 4 000 litre Slavonian oak barrels for several years before bottling and further aging for 6-12 months. 14 % Alcohol.

    Beautiful golden color.

Delicious aromas of vanilla, red apple, butter, honey, minerals and spices. Sweet flavors of red apple, honey, butter, spices and minerals.

Medium dry(?). Full body. Medium acidity. No noticeable tannins. Very good balance. Good structure. Good complexity.

Long finish with honey and minerals.

I would characterize this wine as a medium dry white wine with full body and delicious flavor of vanilla, red apple and minerality. Works very good with food (ramen) and good on its own. It’s a very delicious wine. With more acidity and structure it would be exceptional. 92/100.
