Decanted 2 hours and 45 minutes. Aromas of bing cherry, cranberry, mushroom, licorice and earth. Flavors of cherry, cranberry, mushroom and strawberry. Ends with a 25-30 second finish with cherry notes.

The wine was Double Decanted for 3.5 hours prior to taking to the restaurant, Sax at the Reeds, in Stone Harbor, NJ. The restaurant stemware was a Bordeaux style glass. The wine was paired with grilled amish chicken.
The color was medium to dark purple. The aromas were of fresh cut flowers, red and blue fruits and brown spices. The palate was of red and black cherries, plum and hints of blueberry, baking spices, and crushed gravel. The acidity was lighter than expected at medium(-) and there was minimally detected tannins. The wine is medium-full bodied and super smooth.
The wine is in its early drinking window but it drinking well now with some air. It may benefit a little more from short-term to mid-term cellaring but there is no harm in popping a cork today with a 45+minute decant.

Beautiful wine. Nice of cherries jubilee. Raspberry liqueur. Great balance. Fruity. Balanced finish and mouthfeel. Lovely wine.
