  • Slight smoky nose with black fruit. High tannin some bitterness. Goes well with Spanish sausage and cheese. I think it would do well with tomato based dishes.

  • 45% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, 3% Tinta Barroca and 2% Alicante Bouschet

Full body, deep purple to inky color. Aroma opens immediately, intense ripe, black and blue fruits, sweet spices’ box complemented by tobacco and leather but the palate requires patience, black cherry and dried plums following by mineral finish. Rich and impressive, bold and velvety, complex enough and balanced, vital acidity and grippy tannins. Food friendly, well pairing to tomato and beans soup. Open 4/5 hours ahead. Serve 16ºC - 20ºC. Drink now while young and next five/six years.

  • PnP. A little underwhelming at first, but with a little time it developed nicely. Black fruit, rich but structured. A little spice. Long finish. It’s got the tannins and structure of a full bodied wine, but is also soft and smooth if that makes sense. 90-93 by various pros. Good QPR for $20. Will try again and let it breathe for a bit first.
