Wildly expressive aromas of strawberries and forest floor lead to a fresh, tart, crunchy red fruited palate that is light on its feet and turns earthy and minerally on the finish.

Inviting nose of red berries and floral notes. Very fresh, pretty high toned red fruits and violets, great acidity and some nice subtle tannic grip. Delicious stuff.

This is really nice, really elegant on the nose. Full of violets and stony notes with appealing red cherry fruit. Smells very Italian but I don’t think I would necessarily mistake this for a Nebbiolo given that there is nothing in the way of tar and how prominent the floral part is. On the palate dry and savory and low in weight and tannin with a rather delicate mouthfeel. Still there is some grip here and it is the spiciness in the finish that feels quite distinct. Drinkability is very high here, it evaporates from the glass alarmingly fast when paired with a Neapolitan style pizza, but still there is something serious about it. For a Nebbiolo fan this is a very easy wine to enjoy despite having a character of its own. There is not a ton of fruit on the palate but somehow it manages to avoid feeling bony or austere. Classy stuff!

Popped and poured. Medium translucent ruby color. Just delicious right out of the gate with amarena cherries, raspberry, some floral notes and just a touch of exotic baking spices. Really pretty. Aromas carry through to the palate with a juicy mix of ripe red fruits with an underlying sweet balsamic note. Medium+ acid and tannin but quite open and enjoyable right now, with food or on its own. Would rebuy.

As a PNP. You get a nice dollop of strawberries on top of strawberry shortcake. Mouth watering salinity with a moderate but snappy finish. This paired very well with homemade meatballs and Rigatoni marinara. The prices of the Barolo's of Burlotto in recent years have gone parabolic. A pleasure to sample this wine maker's fine craftsmanship, at a much more affordable and attainable price.
