  • Really good - cranberry, cherry, great acidity. Had this with chili and it was great; would be even better with pasta. 3/5/24 had with spinach and ricotta ravioli pasta; great! Upped from 91 to 92 pts

  • Drank over three days. This is quite a nice wine and a very good value. I suspect that it is peaking now and over the next year. I wouldn't wait to 2024. it is mostly Cab with 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cab Franc. The red and dark fruit is well integrated with the tannin and alcohol. it is a well-structured wine that was excellent the first day but had started to turn by day 3. Several weeks ago I tasted a Poggio Antico 2012 LeMartine that was the best Tuscan blend I have ever tasted outside of Sassicaia. I remember the day I bought it years earlier, asking for the best wine in the wine shop that day. Tuscan blends can be wonderful wines, and if you can find the 2016 Valdisanti you won't be disappointed.

  • This one’s quite strange. At first it tasted like decent Bordeaux blend. After 2 hours of breathing, nice oak touch, strong black berries and a little hint of mints shows the presence. On second day, it turned into something like Chilean carmenere. Suddenly bell pepper note, which i don’t like at all, emerged so strongly. I coudn’t decide my preference. But maybe I won’t get this with my own money again.

  • Dark purple, inky, quite dense, tannins overpowering fruit.

  • Tried this wine at the wine tasting in Newport Rhode Island. The wine pairs very nicely with ricotta cheese. Otherwise it bites a little bit. Not as smooth as I hoped it would be.
