I'm not a big fan of Bojo. But if I am to drink it - it has to be Yvon Metras. There is a seriousness to the wines which I don't get in other wines from this area. This though is a good wine for summer and bbq's.

Clear from the start this hits a height and provides a extra layer of depth that other producers in Beaujolais can’t reach. Still young as I got grape confection on the nose and fresh pours needed time to get carbonation to blow off. Sadly the restaurant needed to turn tables and so the wine did not get time to stretch its legs. Even so there’s a savory note on the nose and chalkiness on nose and palate that peek out trying to say hello. The length here is impressive and precise. Surprisingly reminds me of a better Cossard Bourgogne / Village (or maybe it’s the other way around). But I’m still more partial to Côte d’Or and so while this is the most enjoyable Beaujolais I’ve had, current prices are the limit at which I’d give these a spin

Nez de fruits noirs, encens, roasted exotic wood, vernis à ongles, a bit of sulfur... Loads of tannin, black fruit, nice acidity, still needs 5-10 years to develop

Surprisingly dark fruited and less elegant than typical Metras. The 19s are a vintage to leave in the cellar for a while I think.
