  • Day 3. The nose has been solid all along, opening into day 2, but the palate has been a bit thin. The nose is sizzling now - racy lime and a bit of tangerine, tons of rocks and minerals, and lots of fresh spices - really crunchy and alive. The palate enters like that - great citric fruit and electric minerality, along with fresh spices and herbs, but then drops off about 70% through and into the finish - which feels somewhat weak and short. Better when trilled but still a bit disappointing at the end. Don't know if the 19's are closing down or this is just the wine. The nose doesn't seem closed. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5/20.
