  • #4 of 6 bottles consumed. Bought as a daily drinker central otago pinot noir.

Transparent light ruby color with some earth tones; not too bright. Color very telling of a central otago output. On the nose, nice bright red cherries, little blackberry, some baking powder notes. I get some light violets and white florals. There's some light black pepper spice to it; some cedar. There's also a hint of savouriness with earth and wild mushrooms.

On the palate, it comes very nice bright red fruits; + some light mushroom notes. No funky/barnyard tastes (which I typically get from some entry-level/new world pinot). Low to med alcohol taste, still some nice acidity, not sweet / low RS, soft and smooth tannins (still there but close to light/medium-minus). Very decent, lasting medium finish.

Overall, very solid daily drinking pinot from central otago. Good for those days when you still want a red but something light to drink while watching shows or playing computer games! Great QPR if you ask me - got it for S$33 for 6 bottles some time back. Pity I'm down to my last two bottles.

  • Pale ruby colour.

Medium intensity on the nose with cranberry and subtle oak.

Medium intensity on the palate with more cranberry coming through. High acidity, low tannins, medium body, medium alcohol, medium finish.

Well balanced with decent length and intensity but lacking any real complexity.
