Slow ox for 4 hours and then decant. Showed beautifully with a perfumed herb garden nose, lots of red berries and smooth tannins on the palate and a long finish.

Perfect cork, wine needed 30 minutes to open up. Good fruit and structure. Not particularly complex but drinking well with a long finish. A really nice village wine that is probably at its best now.

Knightsbridge Holiday Burgundy Sale (Northbrook, IL): Strawberry on nose with trace of spice. Same strawberry along with red cherry on palate. Highly structured from middle to the finish, making the wine rather tight for now. Another 2005 that will take a good, long time to resolve but with very good raw materials and potential.

a little stemmy, a little sulphury. lots of raspberries and cherries but less depth than I would have thought for the vintage. decent but not wonderful.

dark cherry and baking spices on nose, along with something herbal. same aromas intensify on the palate - bright pleasant acidity - beautiful wine.
