Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Day 1: A big wine. Spices, dark fruits, floral and oak. Medium finish. This wine is certainly not ready on day 1 and will let sit for day 2 and 3 before any scoring.
Day 2: I knew this wine would open up more on day 2. Cherry, plums, mild spices, dark chocolate, earth and oak. Still a power house wine but enjoyable. These will age for another decade. 92-94.
Day 3: Nice spice, blueberries, sour cherry, minerals, chocolate, earth and oak. Medium plus finish. Held up nicely over the 3 days. 92+ points
Recommendation: Hold these until 2025 and beyond.

  • Tasted on day 2. Dark purple color. Round red berry fruit. Some currents. Fine grained tannins. I thought this would be very tannic and need more time but it is ready to rock and roll now. Probably being open for a couple of days helped.
