I liked it: it was not a mind blowing experience, but it was quite pleasant: dark mid-weight berry flavors plus tobacco ash, gentle acidity, and a reasonable finish. There was a slight off-putting chemical/metallic tinge when I first opened it, but it settled down.

Decanted 2 hours. Extremely savory rose water. Leaving the remaining half bottle for tomorrow. Day 2: The nose of Campari. Sweet black fruit emerges. Saving the last 3rd for day 3 to see how it changes.

Notes of red plum, fresh green leafy herbs, berries, a touch of smokiness — that doesn’t feel oak driven. A little more evocative on the palate than the nose, though feels like the open to the palate is stronger than the finish, maybe not a ton of length. Medium tannins come in noticeably at the end, could use a little time.
Overall really nice wine that’s great for the closeout price.

Was very surprising for a $20 bottle. Dark fruits, structured. A lot of depth. Delicious! Some substantial but fine tannins in the mid-palate. Very well made.

Medium- bodied, modern style. Fruit tastes "red" and syrupy, some sappiness, and ultimately lacks depth and coastal California tones. $18-22 is an appropriate price on grocery store shelf, $60 MSRP is quite an ask.
