You would pay £25 for a Chablis of this quality and wouldn't complain. Has everything that a Chardonnay is suppose to have, buttery notes, fruit and acidity. For 10£ in Aldi, this is a beauty. Pale gold colour, notes of butter, biscuit, apricot, apple and pineapple. The palate has a balanced acidity, no overriped fruit and the finish is a medium +. It has no oak influencie, but enough complexity due to the lees. Very well made. The proof that you don't need an overoaked wine to have a beautiful Chardonnay.
