  Did a comparison tasting with the 2018 over the course of a meal with appropriate decanting and breathing beforehand. Both are well built delightful wines where the 2018 carries more tannin and grape while tilting less into the dark fruit and “boldness” of the 2019. Both wines are a success and the taster makes their choice on personal preference.

  Too sweet for me, but for most at the party it was the best of the ten wines I opened. Each to his own.

  We enjoyed this bottle. Dark fruits, with a hint of mineral and spice. It is a big and dark wine with rounded and deep flavors. It does lean a little sweet.
  
  Maybe we had lower expectations because other Hope labels have been a major disappointment. This lived up to its billing.
  
  Agree with other reviews about this not being one to age.

  Excellent decanted about 1 hour, and enjoyed with beef filet, broccoli, and grilled potatoes - Valentine dinner.

  One big fruit bomb. Too much sugar for me. Wanted to like it, tried to like it but I couldn’t do it. Wife enjoyed it though so it did not go to waste
