Been a very reliable good value entry point Burgundy from an interesting producer. Open 2 hours before drinking. Good nose and length and impressive complexity. A consistent performer

I think this bottle would’ve scored higher for me had I decanted it or had some leftover the next day. The wine starts very musty on the nose and very, very tart in the palate. Both begin to evolve after an hour or two with air. The nose broadens—so-called forest floor, wet leaves, damp earth, mushrooms—remaining feral overall, but nuanced. The palate mellows into red fruit—cranberry, cherry, strawberry. This is a light and airy Burgundy (12.5%) that should be decanted before drinking.
