  • Emergency bottle as a replacement for a corked Gravonia 14, keeping it casual so Bourgogne it is. Showed very well. Very elegant.

  • I enjoyed this wine but vintaged 2016 2 years a go and was very suprised of this wine. And i was little pensive of i would feel the same about vintage 2019.
    appearance
Ruby red colour from core to rim, very light in colour.

    Nose
You feel this red frut of forestraspberrys and red cherries. Floral nots of roses and voilots. Oak flavours with spiciness cardamom, ceder .

    Palet
Wine is very silky, balnced in alcohole, with medium acidity and silky fine tannins. Frut is slightly Warm and give you a feeling of new world pinot noir. But the intensity of frut that combine the flower nots and oak flawor give you the feeling of burgundy.

Im so happy that it gave me same feeling as last time. I decant wine just befors service but otherwise wine was very open, drink now or hold for 5 years.

  • What a beautiful bottle of wine. Raspberry and cherry fruits. Light florals and some sweet earth. Plush and velvety. Good depth and detail for its level and a finish of mineral precision.

  • I love Bourgogne period! And especially from great producers like Ghislaine Barthod because they offer a lot of the Barthod experience & magic at a fraction of the cost for the other cuvees. Tonight's btl was stellar with a 3-1/2hr slow ox in my 2 burg glasses and btl prior to dinner. Semi translucent jewel red color. Enveloping aromas of roses, spice & berries. The palate is suave, concentrated & exceedingly well-balanced w/ vineyard fresh red fruit, mineral, spice and plenty of reverb on the finish. Bourgogne value but drinks like village level plus. Very Chambolle in style. Wish I could have bought more! Served between high 50s & mid 60s. From 50yr old vines. 13% alc.

  • 100% Pinot Noir from a single parcel just across the road from Chambolle-Musigny, Les Bons Batons

Ruby red, transparent, almost clear (looks a bit unfiltered)

Nose is amazing with layers of red cherry, rose petal, coca cola, minerals, cinnamon, white pepper, smoked cedar wood.

Palate is quite tannic, medium body, medium plus acidity. cherry, raspberry, Christmas fruit cake, pronounced salty minerals, with a decently lengthy finish of cedar, vanilla infused berries.

Wow, this is a Bourgogne? Feel more like a village Chambolle. Very precise and characterful. Ready out of the Coravin needle. Excellent wine for the price (EUR 36). 91.
