Quick decant. Nose shows black cherry, Maraschino cherry, and roses. Supple, vibrant red cherry palate laced with minerals, lilac, black peppercorns, and carnations. Finish delivers a quick zip of thin tannins and acidity followed by black tea, raisin, and unripe raspberry. Palate's the start and the finish is a bit disappointing.

Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Dark garnet color. A bit jammy. Some firm dusty tannins. Needs time. This wine is too extracted and comes across as disjointed. Some smoke and bacon fat. Does not mesh in a good way. Not as good as the last bottle.

Rich black plum, cracked black peppercorn and toasted spice roll out of the glass. The palate is stacked with boysenberry, sweet black currant, bacon fat, Mediterranean herbs, smoked applewood and chocolate. This one is the most intense but also really delicious. Big, chewy tannins right now. A long finish. Seems forward but clear room to improve as well. Big and forward but still bright and juicy. Delicious.

More elegant than the K Vintners wines. This tastes like it has some Grenache mixed in. More round fruit and plenty of lift on the mid palate. Super long finish. Tannins seem better integrated. Savory fruit. Very nice effort
