Exploring Duemani: the entry level red is a 100 % CF, right up my alley! Nice fresh, fruity and sweet, with the Tuscany acidity and touch of oak to provide body, soft bell pepper, cherry, blackberry, plum, leather, jam, tobacco note, medium minus body with a strong long finish.

Diem5 45mm enclosure. Medium intensity nose. Medium ruby colour. Spice, vanilla, cherry, raspberry, plum. High acidity. Medium body. Med(+) intensity. It’s got that classic Cab Franc element that is so hard to pin down with a word. In a French CF I’d describe it as green stem. The tannins are medium(+) and fine. The length is OK. Balance? Actually quite good. The finish medium. It’s a tamer version of a Loire cabernet franc, the fruit are more forward. In that respect it’s more approachable and an enjoyable bottle of grog.
