Gooseberries, cherimoya, pineapple, lemon creme, toasted coconut, jalapeno, and nettle. Medium to borderline plus bodied on the palate with plenty of citrus and tropical fruit. Zesty with a slightly spicy and chalky finish. Reminds me of a more modern Bordeaux blanc, such as Pape Clement. Value is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it is solid wine (93+?).

Tuesday Night Double Blind $50+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Paler straw yellow; green pyrazines, lemon grass, verbena, white melon, pomelo, oolong tea, white flower, structured, young and powerful, not lifted but aromatic, interesting; most in Bordeaux Blanc.

Good nose, it’s understated but projects class. Patisserie, lemon, complex phenolic notes; cool and fresh entry. A little texture and interest from the Viognier. Very subtle, an expensive white though, I’d probably choose a Pessac over this and save a lot of money!

A happy summer's hug with a small oak kiss.
To drink: Lovely!
To procure? HA-HA-HA! You can't fool me with expensive labels, I care about the wine :-)

Moderately enjoyable but not as good as a good bordeaux Blanc and overall a bit austere and intense - not a great combination.
