Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • My only bottle of this since it comes as part of the annual wine package, but isn’t a wine I follow from their portfolio. Plum and cracked black pepper are the predominant notes that carry throughout the linear continuum of attack to finish. The spiciness on the nose carries long into the palate and through the finish. While a pleasing wine, it doesn’t offer much complexity. While the wine is approachable now - and the tannins are softening - it will continue to improve and reward over time. Almost no sediment. 14.2% alc. 10.24.20. With elbow pasta from the new provisioning site - Staunton Grocery - next to Ian’s Shack along with sausages broiled in the oven. Recommended.
