A young but serious beaujolais. I found this so different from Lapierre’s morgon, which is just so full of pleasure and joy. This is vibrant, fresh, and more austere, with a touch of juicy on the finish. With plenty of air one is able to coax more savory elements. Will be great in time but definitely ready to go now.

Pop and pour. Very dark. Lovely nose, lots of sweet red and black berries, just a touch of forest floor, and a nice mix of spices; both savoury and sweet. After all the high alcohol Beaujolais lately, nice to have one at a comparatively tame 13% alcohol. Soft and dry. Cleansing acid backbone. Respectable length. An easy drink that's pretty good right now.

Small red fruits are present in the taste (specially cherry). Good acidity and no tannins.
