  I figured I’d try one bottle now since I have six. Note taken after 3+ hours of air. Smoky fruit on the nose, with notes of cedar. Good fruit on the palate, with a nice touch of oak. This wine is a baby with a decade plus ahead of it. Try again in 2028 or 2029.

  AN EVENING WITH PAM STARR: Philly CT get together with Pam and Cyrus from Crocker & Starr. Started the evening with this new release alongside appetizers. Such a great expression of valley floor cab franc, from the estate vines in St Helena, adjacent to BV vineyards. Rich, floral, with gobs of black and red fruits, violets, cardamom, hints of cedar. Terrific, layered mouthfeel , great balance and acidity. A decadent and satisfying wine
  Fairly old vines in rocky soils if I remember correctly
