A car hit me when I was riding my bike in the redwood forests above Palo Alto. A heavy nudge from the side knocked me off balance, and I, gracefully and seamlessly in my memory, unclipped, leapt and tucked into an armadillo roll for my descent down the redwood leaf-covered hill. Speed resulted in flailing that all ended at the base of a 200 foot tall tree. My fault? Maybe. Well, if I am honest, yes, and don't ask me how. But, anyway, the guy who hit me was really apologetic: "My wife's a doctor - she'll look you over and clean up those cuts." So he drove me and my used-to-be-$15K bike to his house at the bottom of a steep driveway, the giants a great canopy above. Entering the house, the mid-December late afternoon sky assured me that I wasn't the one in control anymore. It got weird. I remember drinking a great california cab. And I remember BB King playing: "The Thrill is gone." And I remember pain. And sackcloth. And ashes.

Nose: Covid still an issue Taste: you can really taste the petite Verdot on the front end. It is smooth with a lot of dark fruit. Not a lot of finish. Some raisins afterward. Nice wine for the price.

A fun, fruit forward...perhaps fruit bomb wine. Not a lot of structure or complexity but easy, smooth drinking. Dark fruit, licorice and raisin notes.
